    No option before the installer fails. That is my main problem of course - you nailed it. Otherwise I could just choose "C" which is what I was hoping for.

    I came home and found the computer wanting to install windows updates. I did, and got a BSOD with a reboot with BIOS telling me the system wasn't booting because of improper voltages due to overclocking... but I didn't overclock (that I recall).
