The infamous KB977074 January Update which was to solve certain "Stability And Reliability" problems is total junk for certain unlucky computer users. The update was designed for 32-and 64 bit versions of Windows 7; as well as Windows Server 2008 R2.

System is described as after install and reboot the following message appears "Windows is installing updates. Do not turn off your computer off"... 0 (Zero) Unfortunately, it stays at "0" and the system hangs there. There is a freeze and a blue screen of death----

The only way around that is a cold reboot and a system restore to before the update. -- Many people could only regain control of their machines by completely uninstalling the update--

Microsoft recommends that people affected by the update, to wait for the next "Stability And Reliability Update".
