I discovered a serious problem with "GetSaveFileName" on Windows Vista:
In certain situation the Save-Dialog does not come up and the Application freezes (forever).
This means that the user can not save his data. This is not acceptable!!
Below there is a link where you can download a small demo application
which generates the bug (see readme.txt).

Does anyone already seen his Application freeze while trying to open the save-dialog?

I thought i could send my bugreport to microsoft but this seems to be impossible.
Does somebody know any email-address or something where i can send bugreports
to microsoft??

PLEASE HELP: LOOSING DATA AFTER HOURS OF WORK MAKES PEOPLE VERY ANGRY :mad:

Hi Robert! You can try contacting the "Microsoft Feedback Site" http://connect.microsoft.com/feedback/Search.aspx?SiteID=210 (One of the things Microsft asks you to do is to check the existing bug reports to see if someone has already reported the one you've found.) After it's found, the only other thing you can do is vote on how serious you think it is...

microsoft connect is a "data mining site".
You have to "register" before you can post anything there.
And they are asking too many questions. Things that are
definitely not necessary to fix a bug in windows.
I don't want my name etc in any database of "these" guys.
(But thanks to you anyway) :cool:

There's a reason for it.....http://blogs.technet.com/blogms/pages/microsoft-connect-get-involved-early.aspx (They do accept bugs report here.)

SaveDialog Freeze

I noticed that some people have downloaded the freeze-sample application.
Please feel free to tell us about your experiences.
Did you make it freeze? ;)
