I’d like to offer up a little insight into the “Release to Manufacturing†(RTM) for Windows 7.
Over the past week, there have been many...

I have 6GB of DDR3 ram installed. When I look at Taskmanager I see:
Total: 6141
Cached: 4580
Avail: 4519
Free: 0
Does this look okay? Why does it say I have 0 Free ram? Everything runs fine so I'm sure it the way it is supposed to be but I was wondering about that 0 free ram thing.
Using a Russian to English translator (looking towards Russia of course), I see that along with the July 13th sign-off, there is a July 24th availability on Connect. Guess we can see if the RC's are upgradable as soon as July 24th.;)
Hey all,
As I look through the boards I'm noticing alot (too many) of new threads that ultimately are all talking about the exact same things.. These things include: RTM release date, GA release date, RC Expiration, etc..
I just wanted to take a minute and try to sort some of these things...

Also be aware of limited availability:

I've looked around on this forum and I've found several other people with this same problem but I doing what they said does not resolve anything.
Long story short I am running windows 7 64bit and have 3GB of ram installed. When I look it shows I have 3GB there but only 992MB available. Below...
With bulid 7260 (RTM escrow) MS started the RTM builds, and it's only few day before the final RTM build is compiled (if not already, 7262?).
So why MS will wait 4 months (Third a year) for the General availability!, I mean they will miss Back-to-school season that way!
Side note: why MS still...
I am currently running Windows 7 Ultimate, upgraded from Windows Vista. I have the latest updates, latest versions of my messengers, and updated all device drivers, however; two of my programs still refuse to operate...

From MS website:
Please note: All users of the Windows 7 Release Candidate (including Windows Vista users who have upgraded to the Release Candidate) must do a clean installation of Windows 7 RTM. Please keep this is mind as you consider downloading the Release Candidate as opposed to waiting...
Microsoft names Windows 7 RC1 dates â€Ã‚¢ The Register :D
EDIT: I guess I this topic would be more appropriate in the "Rumors and News" forum. I didn't think to check all the forum catagories before posting.
RTM will land in ...
Now that Microsoft confirm that the public RC will land in May 5th (Leaked RC should come much sooner hopefully, some say by this week) , And we know from Microsoft that the RC will be available through June (from the leaked RC page) .
So logically the RTM (7700?) will...
MS partner site says that RC is available to MSDN and Technet Plus users, but the links
still show the betas posted in January, so hopefully they are about ready to post it.
Anyone know when this will be available on MSDN or in retail? I'm ready to buy Vista but I really want an official DVD with SP1 integrated. I will probably buy Vista SP1 Ultimate OEM (whenever that is available - should be quicker than the retail package though right?)
Hi All:
Please go to Link Removed - Invalid URL and read the official story on Windows Vista SP1 availability. It clearly states that March is when it will be available through Windows Update.
This is from Mike Nash of Microsoft on February 4, 2008.
