Had build 9841 running fine w/MacAfee Security running. Updated to build 9860 and MacAfee live protection would not turn on. Contacted forum and was told not to use 3rd party antivirus software. There are still compatibility issues. Removed MacAfee security and windows firewall and defender...
I have Windows media Player and VLC installed, but non of them can play videos, regardless of whether they are home made videos or retail movie dvds.
So, what do I have to use without paying for it ?
Since Build 9841, I had to use registry editor to change Auto update to Manual.
Today, while visiting another forum, one person reported that.....
"Just discovered that the new version allows me to set do W-10 updates manually."
I assume he meant that he can now change update settings the old...
I could do this in Build 9841 but in Build 9860, every time I try to set a custom resolution (5960x1080) I get a BlueScreen which seems to be related to cdd.dll. Since this is an Nvidia SLI system running three monitors it might be specific to that type of operation, but this behavior is worse...
In the 9841 build, if you were running Nvidia multi-monitor displays, the Nvidia Control panel was put in a situation where is was not able to make changes to monitor configuration (or anything else) because some app was open and needed to be closed.
The open apps it would refer to were apps...

If you manually installed build 9860 using the > PC Settings / Preview Builds method, after the new build is installed open the Control Panel and run Windows Update. You may find that KB3008956 has not been installed which is part of the new build. You need to manually install this update...
