📎 AI Summary:
The original poster discusses changes in Windows Build 9841 and 9860 regarding update settings, noting that earlier versions required registry edits to set updates to manual. They question whether newer versions, such as Build 9860, allow changing update settings directly without registry tweaks, based on a forum member’s report. The discussion suggests that the ability to change update settings without registry edits may vary between Windows editions, with the poster indicating it may be specific to Enterprise version, which they do not use.

Since Build 9841, I had to use registry editor to change Auto update to Manual.
Today, while visiting another forum, one person reported that.....
"Just discovered that the new version allows me to set do W-10 updates manually."

I assume he meant that he can now change update settings the old way without messing around with the registry.

Can any member confirm this ?
In my Build 9860, I still had to use the registry editor to make the change.

I use non-Enterprise version and that report does not apply to me.

The person making that report does not specify which 9860 version.
Maybe that report applies to Enterprise version ?
