My favorites bar in the navigation pane has no locations to choose from and will not allow me to add any files. When I try to add current location nothing happens; when I try to restore defaults nothing happens. Has anyone else experienced this problem?

The standard location for favicons is in: C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files But I notice that only some of them are there. Does anyone know where the others are kept? I like to have my frequently visited sites in what used to be called the Links bar now...
