I cannot open PDF files in Foxit Reader because of apparently a problem with file ODBC32.dll in the Windows System folder, error 0xc000012f. I tried uninstalling and re-installing the program but the same result. I tried installing Adobe Acrobat Reader but it will not install. I thought I could...

Hello.
I helped a family member do a Windows Refresh on Windows 8.1, and thousands of her personal files have been removed. According to Microsoft, "you can refresh your PC without deleting any of your personal files or changing your settings." This was not the case for her.
I have searched...

I haven't used Adobe Reader on my home PC in years! I've been using Foxit Reader since then. It was a perfect replacement for Adobe. However, over the past few iterations it's become bloated and performance wasn't as snappy as it once was.
I use PDFs on a regular basis. I scan all my hard...

When I'm using Firefox, my Foxit Reader has been randomly popping the sign 'can't read the PDF file' when I haven't been trying to read any PDF files, especially when I'm clicking the "Apply" button in Indeed.com. I don't know how to fix this problem.
Because of this problem I tend to avoid FF...
I have downloaded FOXIT reader as my PDF reader. When I click a web link with a PDF document, I get an IE popup wth the question: What do you want to do with docX.pdf? There are three alternatives: 1)OPEN, 2)SAVE, 3)SAVE AS.
If I select the "OPEN alternative", I get some popup below the IE that...
I have 3 PDF files stored on my desktop; they've been there for months. I use the newest version of Foxit Reader and have for years. In the middle of last week the icons for those 3 files changed from the generic PDF file page icon Link Removed to mini thumbnails of the pages themselves. I did...
Yesterday, I installed Foxit Reader, then decided I didn't like it. When I attempted to re-install, I received the error message that "the windows installer service could not be accessed." It was listed as running in the services applet of administrator tools, but would not work.

This was made a good while ago, and is probably easily accessible online. But here's some shortcuts for Windows XP in the form of PDF. This was to try to help people who had no idea what they were doing :)
Requires Adobe Reader or Foxit Reader.
Foxit Reader is absolutely amazing. Far as I can see it puts Adobe to shame. Everything I have read about here and elsewhere finally got me to try it, and I sure am glad I did. If your having problems with Adobe Reader give Foxit a try I bet you will be happy you did.
For some reason I can't run any .exe-files I've downloaded (both drivers and most programs). When I download i.e. Foxit Reader it can't be run from the download list in Firefox and the destination I picked for the download doesn't contain the file. It's gone! I hav e the same problem when...
