I recently lost everything on my Windows Vista hard drive, however I had everything backed up on Easeus Todo data recovery which I discovered stores everything on PBD files which can only be recovered through Easeus.
My problem is that I now have a computer running Windows 7 and the original...
I downloaded an ISO file of Office 2016 and have the ISO file in my downloads folder. Windows 7 had an option to burn the ISO file without the need of a third-party solution. Supposedly Windows 10 does also, but when I right-click on the file I don't see the option to burn it to a DVD. A blank...

It seems that after I upgraded to Windows 10 it took most but not all of my JPG Photo files and attached a tag to them. I cannot open them anyway except to buy special software. Has anybody else had this problem and is there a work around to fix it
Hi
Since I'm in the position of having to restore Windows 8 in order to update to Windows 10 outside the Insider Program I'm thinking about just getting a 250 Gig SSD and restoring my factory computer image file to it.
That will get me to Windows 8 and then I can go through the update process...

As you know when you run a 16 bit program such as Windows 3.1 games on Windows Vista,7 or 8, it does not display the icon.
This is because support for 16 bit icon display has been removed from Windows Vista onwards. So you have to choose one of the icons in the "Shell32.dill" folder.
But there...

For some unknown reason, my image file associations in Windows Explorer keep getting undone, such that they show up in Explorer without an associated application (or occasionally with a wrong association).
For example, when I examine the properties of any .jpg file, the "Open With:" property...
Every time I go to backup some files from my Win7 system to my FAT32-formatted USB key, I get a Windows popup message about being unable to copy some properties of a small set of files. This has to do with FAT32 not supporting Alternate Data Streams properties of the files, as NTFS does. They're...
OK, here's my problem:
Whenever I right-click on a picture file, Windows Explorer will freeze, saying Not Responding in the window title bar and in Task Manager.
After ending the process and restarting Windows Explorer, I get an error that says "The remote procedure call failed and did not...

I've been reading some informative threads on Virtual PC etc, but still have not come to the conclusion as to which VM is best for my purposes. I have zero experience running a VM. My AMD64 bit APU is qualified. I installed Virtual PC and it appears that I must re-install from system DVD. Can...
Hello. I have windows xp sp3 with last updates. Today, I tried to download a png-image with google chrome.
But it told me that it didn't have enough permissions. I tried to disable firewall and antivirus. All was without any change. Afterwards, I tried it with Opera-brouser. But nothing change...
I am a photographer and generate "raw" and JPG images. At a certain point in my workflow, I need to delete all the JPG images before proceeding. That's easy enough; in Windows Explorer, one can sort by type, then delete all the JPGs, or one could open up a command prompt in the directory and...
Hi, can someone help? - my os is windows 7 and I have an external 3.5 Hard Drive that was working fine in a IDE/SATA docking station, I think it was fat 32 - I pugged it in and it showed up as a RAW disk ( I haven't formatted it! ).
I have tried getting the data from it using File Scavenger...
A search for "'How to view .thm files in Explorer" shows results that date back to Windows XP which makes me not consider what advice may be given. This search did teach me one thing though and that is that .thm files are not only images files, as i thought they would be. My THMs are all image...
Because my movie cataloging program isn't compatible with .tif images, I had to convert them to an acceptable type. This resulted in multiple images for each movie. That wasn't a problem until I recently started using their cloud database service, which complains about the .tifs every time...

Is there a program to identify all existing text and photo files and assemble them in one place for easy access? Since purchase of new computer with Windows 7, files are located several places. Thanks
What's the easiest way of comparing all files renamed "(2)" or "(3)" etc with their originals (e.g. image01.jpg > image01 (2).jpg) to see if they're the same or not?
