Hi everyone.
I'm using a new Toshiba laptop with Windows 7, and I have a problem with the CD/DVD drive that I can't seem to find an answer to anywhere.
Whenever I put a CD in the drive, W7 seems to think it's a VCD and begins trying to play it with Windows Media Player. This happens with every...

I've got Win7 Ultimate installed on two machines. The desktop runs the 32-bit version. The laptop runs the 64-bit version.
Whenever I select files and delete them (either using right-click-delete or using the keyboard delete key), a message box pops ups with the status of the delete as...

My new PC with Windows 7 is great, except for one annoying issue. When my machine sleeps, sometimes it awakens with a distorted and enlarged view. I work from home, largely with picture files, so distortion make the job difficult. The display and resolution settings haven't changed, but what I...
What am I missing? Just upgraded to Win7 and am having an issue renaming photos after I import them. I shoot both jpg and RAW depending on the circumstances so both file types can be on the card. To rename from the basic "DSC_0001" I have always just highlighted all the pics and then hit...
Hi, D-11 again with my annoying questions ;) So... Is the Right Click menu open for customization? Like removing commands you don't want/need? Because always when I save pics to my HDD I click on Send Image... instead of Save As...
I have downloaded W7 from a few places and I cannot get the ei.cfg trick to work. I have tried two ways. BTW, I use magic ISO, which I am starting to believe is the problem. I d/l the ISO and open it with MI, then delete the ei.cfg file and save as an ISO file, burn to DVD. That gives me a...

Is there a way to get the 32bit version of Photoshop CS4 to load rather then the 64bit when you right click on an image file and select "Open with..Adobe Photoshop CS4"? I keep getting an application error with the 64bit version.
I've tried to force it by "Open with..Choose default program"...
Hello, I hope you are doing well.
When I open some types of files, such as image files (e.g. jpeg, gif), they appear in the taskbar and blinks there, telling me that it is open. However, I would like all files that I open to take focus and show up right away, instead of having me click on the...
Windows 7 won't recognize jpg
I transfered some pictures from my camera to Nikon Transfer. The thumbnail jpg images are fine but when I try to expand each image I get a unsupported file type.
In Vista these two worked as expected but once in W7, they've been acting up since. Since using W7, looking in Nero 9 InfoTool showed the first drive - Read Speed 48x and Write Speed 16x while the second drive showed up as Read Speed 12x and Write Speed N/A. I've flashed them both to the latest...

Hi
In windows XP i could search multiple files at one with the use of a comma.
For example 2452,2452,2462,5632 would return the files 2452.jpeg 2452.jpeg 2462.jpeg 5632.jpeg
This method allows me to find all of the images I require.
However in my use with Windows 7, I have yet been able to...
Hi all
This to me seems a HUGE HUGE vulnerability in some current AV packages.
I've got an ISOLATED machine which I use sometimes for specific AV testing.
Anyway I decided to "Infect it" deliberately with some spyware and a key stroke trojan and then take an image of the system with...
Hello,
I am using the Windows Home Server to put all my photo's and with the Media Center I can access them, I can play slideshows etc.... but what doesn't work is the rotate function, I always get a mesage saying that mediacenter is unable to save settings to the file. Although I am sure to...
