Microsoft’s mobile Maps experience is being rebuilt for touch first — adding richer search, turn‑by‑turn guidance for driving, walking and transit, 3D and street‑level views, and the ability to download region maps for offline use — a changeset the company tied to the Windows 10 for Phone...

Windows 11 ships with a crowd of first‑party apps that many users never open — and in 2024–2025 Microsoft itself has begun pruning that list, retiring or de‑prioritizing several built‑ins while leaving others as optional annoyances you can safely remove to reclaim space and clarity.

Another one bites the dust at Redmond, with Microsoft announcing its soon-to-be fond farewell to the Windows Maps app: a cartographic casualty that, depending on whom you ask, conjures either a moment of nostalgia or a blank stare of "Wait, we had a Maps app?" For seasoned Windows watchers and...

Hi
The map app, is showing the wrong street address for my home location, but I can't find anyplace to edit the information and correct it.
It was correct at one time but it has changed to what Cortana thinks it my address instead of the other way around.
Anyone know how to change it?
Mike
Hi
I've complained about Cortana not playing my music, and not knowing where I live no matter how many times I tell her.

I tried it and it worked for me.
Cortana now knows exactly...
