When the system requirements for Microsoft Office 2010 were first posted, we noticed that Windows XP 64-bit was mysteriously absent. We contacted Microsoft, and the company explained that while deciding on which versions of Windows to support in...

Hi
I think Windows 7 is really great but I miss being able to change the Start Menu to Classic View.
I didnt like Vista but was still able to able to change a lot of things in the Start Menu.
Are there gonig to be any service packs to add this feature back on
Hi,
I'm new to this so please bear with me.
I've been sucessfully playing flight sim x on windows 7 for a few days now. Since I was so anxious to start playing the missions, I didn't installed the service packs yet either, but it seems to work fine, with the exception of random crashes...

The only Microsoft office programs I have are Word Viewer 2003 and Sharepoint Designer 2007. Both of them are freebies. Windows Update insisted that I install all the Microsoft Office updates and Service Packs for Office 2003 and 2007. That seems like overkill to me but I did it anyway. Why...

Few days ago installed W7 64b on my Vista Home Prem 32b laptop. Most programs seem to work ok, EXCEPT CorelDraw X4 (it worked well in Vista). MS site indicates compatibility using CorelDraw X4 in W7-64, & Corel.com has no postings about incompatibility. In W7 Corel takes forever to open the...

Hi everyone. I am still trying to get my Nvidia video card to work with the multiple display option. Do I need a service pack? I downloaded the correct drivers from the website, but it still will not show multiple displays. Do I need a .net framework version. Windows 7 is on my second...
There seems to be an issue with Flight Sim X and SQL Server. I get a fatal error whenever I try to go to any missions. In the problem reports it shows that MFC80.dll is the culprit. I'm a developer and have Visual Studio 2008 and SQL Server 2008 Express installed. In the problem report is says...

Just figured I'd start a little benchmarking comparison thread, see how our PCs stand up against one another.
If you want to get in on the comparison, please include the following if possible;
- A screen shot of your Cinebench r10 Scores
- Which version (64 bit or 32 bit) of the program you ran...

Hi everyone
Just for a test I did an Upgrade from Vista X-64 and then compared with a Clean W7 X-64.install and re-loaded all the applications I'm using on VISTA X-64.
Partition size I'd defined in both cases was 53.71 GB .
Vista X-64 Used 42 GB
Windows 7 X-64 used 17 GB.

Hi guys
After testing different Windows OS'es -- I still have to say that Windows XP PRO 64 Bit edition with SP2 stiill rules the roost in speed etc by quite a large margin.

Judging from the comments at places like Link Removed , I somehow don't think so. The iCabbal forces won't allow it.
To which mike responded quite well:
I was reading this forums news posts and followed up on one in particular, this can be found here:
