Alright so prior to a few days ago, I was able to burn CDs with no problems using Nero 8. Suddenly though, Windows refuses to open ANY program that has the ability to burn a CD. I've tried Nero 8, 7, 6, Windows Media Player, CDBurnerXP, Roxio, etc. What's particularly weird about this too is...
So, it seems that after exiting ANY program that runs in full screen, I'm getting a black screen and a mouse pointer... and that's it. I noticed this first after running Media Center, but it happens when I tried the MAME video game emulator, and several other programs as well... I run it, I...

Hi all,

Whenever I try to connect to certain public wireless networks Vista will lock up tight, which then necessitates a hard reboot. Does anyone know why this happens? Other public wireless networks I can connect to without a hitch. But certain "hot spots" are not too hot. I contacted HP tech support...

My system is otherwise stable, except with I am playing a DVD and also running a graphics intensive app. I have a dual monitor setup and I like to play a game and have a DVD running on my other monitor.
Within about an hour, the system will freeze and I have to hard re-boot it.
Any ideas...
