Hello.

I was just wondering if someone could tell me if it is possible to make a flash drive password protected or is it just the one's that already have the software installed when you buy them for a password?

Take a look at TrueCrypt (freeware) > TrueCrypt - Free Open-Source Disk Encryption - Documentation

Encrypts an entire partition or storage device such as USB flash drive or hard drive.

Or you can use bitlocker i believe whcih is apart of W7 i believe

Davids version of Windows 7 does not include bitlocker.
