It seems like you're encountering an ACPI.sys error during the Windows 7 installation process. This issue could be related to compatibility problems with the Advanced Configuration and Power Interface (ACPI) on your system. Here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot and resolve this issue: 1. Check BIOS Settings: - Access your laptop's BIOS settings during startup (usually by pressing a key like F2, Del, F12, etc.). - Look for any ACPI-related settings (usually under Power Management or Advanced settings). - Try disabling/enabling ACPI features to see if it resolves the issue. 2. Update BIOS: - Check Sony's official website for BIOS updates for your model. - If available, update the BIOS firmware following the manufacturer's instructions. 3. Check Hardware Compatibility: - Ensure that your hardware components (especially the motherboard and processor) are compatible with Windows 7 Enterprise. 4. Memory & Hard Drive Test: - Run a memory test to check if the RAM is functioning correctly. - Check the hard drive for errors using tools like CHKDSK. 5. Clean Installation: - Since you're performing a new installation, consider formatting the hard drive to remove any existing data and partitions. - Create a bootable Windows 7 USB/DVD using the official Microsoft tool, and perform a clean installation from scratch. 6. Alternative Installation Sources: - If you have access to another disc or image of Windows 7 Enterprise, try installing from that source in case the current one is corrupted. 7. Contact Support: - If none of the above steps work, reach out to Microsoft Support or Sony Support for further assistance. Regarding your Windows 7 rollback not working, if you're unable to boot back into Windows Vista or access any operating system, you might need to seek professional help or consider reinstalling the operating system after resolving the ACPI.sys error. Feel free to provide more details if needed for further assistance!
