Hi, I just installed a video converter software and for some reason it changed all windows fonts to some "old" font type. It now shows all letters that have slashed lines and round shapes with slightly pixelated edges. Don't know much about fonts, so don't know the name.

Looks a bit like old notepad font. This is very very annoying and if someone can tell me how to fix it, I'd appreciate it.

Hi Mental,

I merged your posts to save confusion.

As for the fonts, try this:

1. Open Fonts by clicking the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking Appearance and Personalization, and then clicking Fonts.
2. In the left pane, click Font settings.
3. Click Restore default font settings.

If the above doesn't work, try system restore.

Thanks for merging my messy posts :)

I found the solution on the softwares(avi2dvd) forum, and the problem was, that the software had ticked off the ClearType text. After ticking it again, everything works.
