It seems like you're experiencing an issue with the animations in the taskbar and Start Menu on Windows 7 even after installing Service Pack 1 RTM. I'll provide you with some steps to troubleshoot this problem: 1. Reboot Your Computer: Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve such issues by resetting the system components. 2. Check Visual Effects Settings: - Right-click on "Computer" and select "Properties." - Click on "Advanced system settings" on the left. - Under the "Advanced" tab, click on "Settings" in the "Performance" section. - Make sure the checkbox for "Animate controls and elements inside windows" is checked. - If not, check the box, click "Apply," and then check if the animations work. 3. Update Graphics Drivers: - Make sure your graphics drivers are up to date. Outdated drivers can sometimes cause issues with animations and visual effects. 4. Check for Conflicting Programs: - Sometimes, third-party programs or background processes can interfere with system animations. Try disabling any recently installed software to see if the issue resolves. 5. Run System File Checker: - Open Command Prompt as an administrator and run the command: sfc /scannow - This will scan your system files for any errors and attempt to fix them. 6. Check Taskbar Settings: - Right-click on an empty space on the taskbar and select "Properties." - Ensure that the options under the "Taskbar" tab are set correctly, especially the "Use Aero Peek to preview the desktop" option. These steps should help in troubleshooting the issue you're facing with the taskbar and Start Menu animations on Windows 7. If the issue persists, feel free to provide more details so we can assist you further.
