Hi I'm building a new 64 bit capable computer and currently only have a 32bit system.

I'm looking for some insight.
I cant run the new windows movie maker live software because my video card does not support it.
I'm wanting to know is it capable of file type conversion.
I stream videos from my computer to my xbox and have some files that never would work namely .MKV files and .m2ts files I believe. will movie maker convert them to the more friendly .WMV format without loosing quality? Or is there any programs out there that will do this? Many have refered me to Tversity but everything I read on it says it definetly reduces quality which is what I'm trying to avoid if possible.

I tried it to edit out a small piece of an avi file. The video quality really suffered when it converted to wmv. If I need to do that again I won't use Moviemaker. I will look for another program to try. Sorry I can't suggest anything better.
