Windows 7 autorefresh how ?

windows 7 dont autorefresh desktop icons sometimes but it refreshing folder icons all the time
so i wonder if i can disable folder refresh or autorefresh ?
reason why is because it makes me lost when i make new file and it moves it somewhere where i didnt create it
kinda like XP had, u make new file and it stays right wehre u created it so u dont get lost OMG where did it go ?

Unfortunately I don't think that's possible and I agree it is a pain.

Just remember what you have named the folder and it will take it's place in the alphabetical order of directories.
