Windows 7 Blue Screen of Death, need help please.

My computer recently(today) started experiencing BSOD, it has happened multiple times today. The only time it ever happens is when I play any kind of game, no matter how graphically intense they are. It seems to happen at random intervals in games, sometimes I was able to play for 5 minutes, the other time it took a couple of hours. Nothing has changed on the computer recently to have caused this to happen.

I have attached the zip file from the W7F program. I can provide any other information that is needed right away. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

An IOERR (I/O Error) is frequently due to an issue with a hard drive or one of the components involved in managing the operation of the hard drive.

Please run this free hard drive diagnostic procedure: http:Link Removed - Invalid URL

Just to be safe, please run a free scan from here: Link Removed - Invalid URL[I'd download Malwarebytes : Free anti-malware download and run that instead]
You can also run a free scan on just the csrss.exe file at Jotti's malware scan

For Jotti's Malware scan, the csrss.exe file is located in "C:\Windows\System32" (without quotations).

I have Malwarebytes already, I have updated it and it is running right now. I am going to take care of all the updating and removing of drivers in the morning, and will let you know how it goes once I do. Thank you so much for your help!

Running late for work, so don't have time to look at the reports.

If you have an SSD - update the firmware on it and update all storage controller drivers to 2012 versions. If you can't find 2012 versions, please post back and we'll see what we can find.

If you don't have an SSD, then there's symptoms of a possible hard drive issue. Please run this free diagnostic procedure: Link Removed - Invalid URL

I ran the updated malware bytes, and it didn't find anything. I removed and reinstalled my graphics drivers, and that seemed to have fixed the problem. I was able to play games just fine without interruption. But now it started blue screening right away again today the second I started any games. It seems like the majority of the drivers are updated to the current versions. And some of them are rather important, so removing them seems like it would be a bad thing to do. Am I wrong? I'm going to attach another W7F file. My harddrive doesn't make any strange noises before or during the bluescreen, I've been listening carefully. If it was a harddrive issue wouldn't it crash all the time, rather than just when I'm playing games ? View attachment W7F_23-10-2012.zip

No it wouldn't crash all of the time if it was the hard drive.
There are various different problems with hard drives that yield different symptoms.
Then, if the hard drive is slowly dying - the symptoms will change as it degrades.

Only 108 updates since SP1 - most systems have 130 to 140. Please ensure that you get ALL available update from WIndows Update

Your Lycosa drivers date from 2010 - older Razer drivers are known to cause BSOD's. Please download and install the latest drivers from the Razer support site.

You have a copy protection driver that dates from 2008 - most likely associated with a movie whose viewer was installed. Please un-install this.

If the above suggestions don't fix things, then I'd be fairly confident that this is a hardware problem. If you'd like, you can get a head start on the free hardware diagnostics here: Link Removed - Invalid URL

Hi all;

Thanks for the help so far, sorry it takes me so long to get back onto here to give updates. I've uninstalled the tages driver 3 times now, it won't stay off of my system, every time I restart it, it's back. I'm in the process of updating my razer drivers right now. From when you said that I should install all windows updates, there were only 3 available through the windows update manager, I installed them. The computer bluescreened when I tried playing a game earlier today, but previously the computer had been on for upwards of 16 hours with no issues whatsoever.

I think I've taken care of the tages driver, I downloaded the driver manager from their website and uninstalled it through that.

Since removing the Tages copy protection driver and the game that went along with it I have not experienced a single blue screen! That seems very odd to me though since the driver had been installed for quite some time before any problems arose.

Well, as long as it's working, who cares? Enjoy your games then, if you have any problems then come back to this thread! Until then :)

I can provide any other information that is needed right away.

I lost power Monday around 5pm EDT due to Hurricane Sandy. Don't have any idea when it will be restored. I will post back as soon as power is restored. Meanwhile, I only have my phone to post with.

Please un-install your Lycosa drivers and temporarily use a regular mouse to see if that helps.

If that doesn't help, then please run these free hardware diagnostics: Link Removed - Invalid URL

If that doesn't show anything significant, then run Driver Verifier according to these instructions: http://www.carrona.org/verifier.html
