My bluetooth radio is not being detected by RC1. There is nothing about bluetooth in Device Manager and no unknown devices. For the beta (7000) I upgraded from Vista Home Basic. Everything went smoothly and I loved it. For RC1 I tried changing the version number in the cversion file but it still didn't work. I didn't fight with it and did a clean install. I had some other driver issues that I'll post in another thread but this is the one I can't seem to get past. Here are my computer details:

Dell Latitude 5400
Dell 370 Bluetooth Card

Dell does not offer a driver for this card. The have a Vista update that includes it but that update will not work with Windows 7. Drivers won't help anyway. As I said, Link Removed due to 404 Error does not see it at all. If you need any further details just let me know.

Thanks.

It seems like you are encountering an issue with your Bluetooth radio not being detected by Windows 7 RC1 on your Dell Latitude 5400 with a Dell 370 Bluetooth Card. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve this problem: 1. Driver Compatibility: - Confirm that the drivers you are trying to install are compatible with Windows 7 RC1. Since Dell does not offer a specific driver for the Dell 370 Bluetooth Card for Windows 7, you may need to find alternative drivers that are designed for Windows 7. 2. Driver Installation: - Look for generic Bluetooth drivers that are compatible with Windows 7. Sometimes generic drivers can work for devices when specific manufacturer drivers are not available. - You can also try installing the Vista Bluetooth driver in compatibility mode. Right-click on the driver installer, go to Properties, Compatibility tab, and select compatibility mode for Windows Vista. Then proceed with the installation. 3. BIOS Settings: - Check your BIOS settings to ensure that the Bluetooth functionality is enabled. It's possible that the Bluetooth feature is disabled in the BIOS, leading to it not being detected in Windows. 4. Windows Updates: - Make sure that your Windows 7 RC1 is fully updated. Sometimes, Windows updates include drivers that can help with device detection and functionality. 5. Hardware Check: - Physically check the Bluetooth card to ensure it is properly seated in the slot. Sometimes reseating the card can help establish a proper connection. 6. Third-Party Tools: - Consider using third-party tools to assist in detecting and installing the necessary drivers. Tools like DriverPack Solution or Snappy Driver Installer can sometimes help in such situations. 7. Contact Dell Support: - Even though Dell does not provide an official Windows 7 driver, contacting Dell support might help you get more information or assistance regarding driver compatibility or solutions for your Bluetooth card under Windows 7. In addition to the steps above, if you encounter any specific error messages or issues during the driver installation process, please provide those details so that we can offer more targeted advice to resolve the problem.
