Hi there!

I have an issue with my laptop, it crashes almost every day.
When it crashes it gives a BSOD with 'worker_thread_returned_at_bad_irql'
So I analysed the dump files with winDbg en it gave me this:

Solution
You have both McAfee and Microsoft Security Essentials installed. Please uninstall the McAfee and ensure that the Windows Firewall is enabled.

Please update these older drivers. Links are included to assist in looking up the source of the drivers. If unable to find an update, please remove (un-install) the program responsible for that driver. DO NOT manually delete/rename the driver as it may make the system unbootable! :

ArcSoftKsUFilter.sys Mon May 25 04:27:31 2009 (4A1A5673)
ArcSoft Magic-i Visual Effect
Link Removed

If the BSOD's continue after this, please run Driver Verifier according to these directions: Link Removed

Analysis:
The following is for informational purposes...
You did a good job with WinDbg - but we need to use more commands in the debugger - and we need other reports to compare with our analysis. Please provide this information so we can provide a complete analysis: Link Removed

While waiting for a reply, please run Driver Verifier according to these instructions: Link Removed

I've got the screenshots from CPU-z, the html report from CPU-z, the zipped folder from the diagnostic tool and the RAMMon - SPD info.
I hope you can do something with this information :)

Solution
Thank you! I uninstalled the program (ArcSoft Magic-i Visual Effect) and wait to see if it works.
Athough I think its weird that this caused the BSODs because I was never using that program when my laptop crashed.
Hope this will work!

That's good to hear!
If the BSOD's continue after this, please run Driver Verifier according to these directions: Link Removed
