Hey there,
I'm having problems with a HP EliteBook 8570w, I'm having BSODS with the BCCode 00000007e and I'm out of clues now. I did a total reset to factory settings, updated all the outdated drivers and still it occurs. It doesn't happen during the startup of windows (!) it happens randomly!
Details of the code:
The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x0000007e (0xffffffffc0000005, 0xfffff880014fba78, 0xfffff88003b717e8, 0xfffff88003b71040). A dump was saved in: C:\windows\MEMORY.DMP. Report Id: 011214-11996-01.
Event ID: 1001

I've attached the dump file, i couldn't find anymore of the errorcode. It's happening for quite a while now and I'm totally clueless.

P.S I'm sorry my any grammar faulths, English is not my native tongue.

Hi,
apologies but I'm out of time and must go out. I''ll be back later although i did look at your dmp file briefly but couldnt access the HP driver section. I would suggest checking your bios if you have access to the site. Your current bios is:
BiosVersion = 68IAV Ver. F.43
BiosReleaseDate = 10/08/2013

Good luck and I'll be back in a few hours.

I checked my bios version and it's the latest available for Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit ( the one I have on my laptop at the moment )

Hi,
the dmp file is pointing to the Rapid Storage Technology driver and it may need updating. I''ll check the driver stack and see how things are.

iaStorA.sys Mon Oct 28 21:15:26 2013: Intel RST (Rapid Storage Technology) driver. I know this sounds counter to what we normally advise but can you install the driver posted on the machines webpage. It is older than the one above but as it's mentioned specifically in the dmp files it may help if you install the earlier version.

If the bsods continue after updating please run memtest86:

Please post any new dmp files.

Solution
I've updated them all like you said, now i just need to see if the bsod occurs again, or an other error occurs. Let's hope for the best.

Still no succes, after like 45 minutes of using my computer the BSOD occured again, same errorcode. I've attached the dump file. I can't believe it's still happening after everything I've done so far...

Hmm.. Are you sure thats the latest dmp file as the drivers are still the same dates as above.

Yes 100% sure i checked the "name" of it (its arranged by date) and i uploaded it like 5 mins after the bsod

Ok .. Hmm... tell me when you updated did you go for the very latest date that was showing on the update because most of those drivers should know be reading 2013 not 2012 as above. I'm sure you probably did but just had to ask...

Hmm...strange as I just checked the dmp file again and it's definitely showing the old driver set. Try using the tool found in this thread and post the results:
