Hi,

I just received a brand new computer running windows 7 64 bit with a radeon HD 5850. I'm getting a BSOD after 10 mins of played time on some games while others can last some hours beofre it gets me the blue screen. Most of the time it seems to be a code 50 with the dxgmm1.sys file.

Here are my lasts dump files attached.

Thanks!!!!

Ok thank you,

I've already updated my video drivers to the lastest 10.10 doing a full clean with driver sweeper. For the BIOS update, can you please tell me how to do this? I've never did a BIOS update and I heard some people screwed their computer while doing this.

Thanks again I really appreciate the help.

I've updated my BIOS and clean my ati derivers with driver sweeper. I can load my games now but I still get BSOD while playing. Sometimes during play and other times when I exit the games. Any ideas? I'm getting really frustrated :(

Here are attached the last dump files. I will also try my old video card tonight and see if it fix the issue.

Thanks again!

Unfortunately, it is very likely that your video card is defective.

You're welcome.

You should go to Logitech's site and update the drivers for the hardware you have from them.

Also navigate to C:\Windows\SysWow64\drivers and delete AsUpIO.sys then reboot.

Then update the NEC USB 3.0 driver from your motherboard wesbite:

nusb3xhc nusb3xhc.sys Fri Nov 20 05:16:01 2009

---------

Definitely uninstall the software for the XBOX controller. Then navigate to C:\Windows\System32\drivers and delete this if still there:

xusb21.sys

Reboot.

Ok I've done all of the above and the computer seems to run better now. I tested a game for 2 hours and it didn't crash at all. I did get one BSOD when I alt-tab of wow though. I saw that an ati file is related but my drivers are up to date.

Also, I don't think my video card is faulty because I tried playing with my old radeon hd 4850 and still got that BSOD. What do you think?

Thank you so much. Here is the dump file when I alt tab attached.

Your card and/or its driver is still bugging out, which has been in every crash dump thus far. It is looking even more likely than ever that the card is defective. (Or the psu is insufficient for the system.)

Good job on updating NEC driver. But the Logitech gamepad drivers have not been updated:

------------

You can update your Realtek HD Audio driver:

RTKVHD64 RTKVHD64.sys Fri Jan 29 01:48:35 2010

Run the installer. Reboot. Then run it again:

Realtek

------------------

There is a new video card driver released today or yesterday that you should install:

Drivers & Support | GAME.AMD.COM

-------------

Install this to update the J-Micron storage driver:

jraid jraid.sys Mon Jan 11 06:28:18 2010

I don't know why my logitech keyboard drivers are not updating. It's the third time I install them. Anyway I've updated all of the above and also downloaded the new ati drivers 10.11.

I tested the card for 2 hours yesterday and guess what no BSOD. I was getting one every 15 mins or so before. I really hope the issue is gone, but will do more testing and let you know if it comes back.

Thanks for your help you're awesome!!!

Oh well I spoke too soon...I got another BSOD this time when exiting a game :(
Could it be my RAM? It seems to only happens in World of Warcraft now and when I restart the game all my video settings and addons are reset...Like nothing was saved.

Here is the dump file.

The crash was caused by dxgmms DirectX file:

1. Test your video card:

That Lachesis.sys driver is a known bsod causer. Suggest to remove the hardware from the machine and replace with something else. Uninstall its software and if you wish, send a nice e-mail to Razer.

Well that sucks because it's the only mouse I have. I will run the different test over night and try to get another mouse somewhere and see it everything is fine. For the Logitech drivers...I've updated them like 5 times so I don't know why it's still old

Hi again,

I've tested my video card with furmark, no issues there. I'm running the video memory test as we speak, but so far no errors. I did a Memtest during the night 7 passes and got over 215 errors...I guess it means my memory sticks are faulty? That could explain alot of crashes I think. Guess I'll RMA them :(

Thanks

215 errors means RAM fault for sure. See if bios settings are correct, if sticks are the same and matching, if not you need to replace them.

Can you specify what do I need to check in BIOS? I'm not really used to go play in there.

Thanks for your help!

Post a screen shot each of the memory and spd tabs of CPU-Z. We can see if the memory settings are incorrect or not.
