I've been getting BSOD's ever since I've downloaded a windows update for a few months back.

It seems to be only BSODing when the ASUS EPU program starts when loading all the programs when windows 8 starts.

Asus EPU is a program that controls the speed of the processor fan. When I put it auto it seems to BSOD. But when it's in it's fastest mode it don't BSOD.

I've looked for updates of this ASUS EPU but I have the latest and nothing has been released

I've upload everything asked in How To Ask For Help With BSOD forum.

I don't have Avast Anti virus installed which seems to be the answer for some people out there that was having similar problems.

I have the latest windows 8 updates and I've updated my Bios with the latest.

It sounds like you are facing Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) issues related to the ASUS EPU program on Windows 8. The ASUS EPU program controls the processor fan speed, and it seems to cause a BSOD when set to auto mode but not when set to its fastest mode. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve this issue: 1. Check Event Viewer: - Open Event Viewer in Windows to look for specific error codes or messages related to the BSOD. This can provide more insight into the cause of the crashes. 2. Disable ASUS EPU: - Try disabling the ASUS EPU program temporarily to see if the BSODs stop. This can help determine if the program is indeed the cause of the crashes. 3. Update Drivers: - Make sure all...

Update Drivers: - Make sure all your drivers are up to date, especially the chipset drivers and any drivers related to power management or fan control. 4. Check for Conflicting Software: - Ensure that there are no other programs conflicting with the ASUS EPU program. Sometimes, certain software can cause conflicts leading to BSODs. 5. System File Checker (SFC): - Run the System File Checker tool to scan for and restore corrupted system files that could be causing the crashes. 6. Check for Windows Updates: - Even though you mentioned having the latest updates, sometimes new updates or patches can address compatibility issues. 7. Check for Known Issues: - Search online for any known issues between ASUS EPU and Windows 8. There might be specific solutions or workarounds available. 8. Temporary Workaround: - If setting ASUS EPU to its fastest mode prevents BSODs, you may consider using this mode as a temporary workaround until a permanent solution is found. By following these steps and conducting further investigation based on the Event Viewer logs, you may be able to pinpoint the cause of the BSODs related to the ASUS EPU program. If the issue persists, it might be beneficial to reach out to ASUS support for additional assistance or to see if there are any specific updates or patches in development to address this issue.
