I don't know what Microsoft changed but i am unable to see the USB Storage plugged into my Linksys WRT610N. I can see it when i go into router setup but don't see it when i try to map it. I wanted to find out if it was really this build or not so i have the 7000 Build on my laptop. I installed the Build 7057 on it and same problem. Can see it on my Xp Computer and Vista also. I put the 7000 Build back on laptop and now can see it again. Going to leave this 7057 Build on this computer to see if anyone has a ideal on how to fix it. Ok guys the floor is open!!!!!

It seems like you are experiencing an issue with accessing a USB storage device plugged into your Linksys WRT610N router from your Windows 7 Build 7057 computer. However, the storage device is visible when accessing the router setup but not when trying to map it on the Windows 7 Build 7057 system.
Here are a few steps you can try to troubleshoot this issue and potentially resolve it:
1. Check Network Sharing Settings:
- Ensure that network discovery and file sharing are turned on in the Network and Sharing Center settings on your Windows 7 Build 7057 computer.
- Make sure the network profile is set to "Home" or "Work" for easier sharing and access.
2. Update Router Firmware:
- It's a good idea to check if there are any firmware updates available for your Linksys WRT610N router. Updating the firmware might resolve compatibility issues with newer Windows builds.
3. Restart Router and Computer:
- Sometimes, a simple restart of both the router and the computer can resolve connectivity issues.
4. Map the Network Drive Manually:
- If automatic mapping is not working, you can try to map the network drive manually. Use the IP address of the router along with the shared folder path to map the network drive.
5. Check Antivirus/Firewall Settings:
- Your antivirus or firewall settings on the Windows 7 computer might be blocking access to the network storage. Temporarily disable them to see if it resolves the issue.
6. Try Different USB Ports on Router:
- Switch the USB storage device to a different USB port on the router to rule out any issues with a specific port.
7. Network Troubleshooter:
- Run the built-in network troubleshooter on Windows 7 to see if it can identify and fix the problem.
8. Check Router Settings:
- Ensure that the router settings allow for USB storage access from the network and that the appropriate sharing options are enabled.
By following these steps, you may be able to identify and resolve the issue with accessing the USB storage device from your Windows 7 Build 7057 computer. If the issue persists, further troubleshooting may be necessary.
