Windows Vista Camera Driver Issues on Windows Vista After Updates with Skype and Live Messenger

After I did the updates for the windows vista.... everytime i connect to someone on an xp computer using skype of live messenger my camera drivers stop working... therefore not a hardware issue but more of a driver and windows issue..... i've tried everything and the windows updates are te problem.... i know that vista has driver problems but i didn't know that that bad....lol
.... any one found fixes for it yet....
