If you're experiencing issues with windows 7 RC where you can't close or minimize the screen normally, there are a few troubleshooting steps you can try before opting for a reinstallation: 1. Check for Device Drivers: Ensure that all your device drivers are up to date. Outdated or incompatible drivers can sometimes cause such issues. 2. Restart Explorer: You can try restarting the Windows Explorer process. To do this, press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager, find "Windows Explorer" in the list, right-click on it, and select "Restart." 3. Run System File Checker (SFC): You can run the System File Checker tool to scan and repair corrupted system files. Open a command prompt as an administrator and type sfc...

Check for Malware: Sometimes malware can cause unusual behavior on your system. Run a full system scan using your antivirus software to ensure your system is clean. 5. Update Windows: Make sure you have all the latest Windows updates installed. Sometimes, an outdated system can cause compatibility issues. 6. Check for Third-Party Software Conflicts: If you installed any new software recently, try uninstalling it to see if that resolves the issue. Before considering a repair install or reinstallation, try these steps to see if they resolve the problem. This could potentially save you time and effort.
