It seems like you're experiencing an issue with setting up a backup using the Control Panel on your computer. When you click on "Set up backup" and nothing happens, there could be a few reasons for this behavior. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try to resolve the issue: 1. Check if the Windows Backup Service is Running: - Press Win + R, type services.msc, and press Enter. - Look for Windows Backup Service in the list. Make sure it is running. If not, right-click and select Start. 2. Check for Software Conflicts: - Sometimes third-party software or security programs can interfere with the backup process. Try disabling any security software temporarily and see if that helps. 3...

Try disabling any security software temporarily and see if that helps. 3. Run System File Checker (SFC) Scan: - Open a Command Prompt with administrative privileges. - Type sfc /scannow and press Enter to run the scan. This will check for and repair any corrupted system files. 4. Check Event Viewer for Errors: - Press Win + X and select Event Viewer. - Look under Windows Logs and check Application and System for any related errors during the backup setup process. 5. Use System File Checker (COM Surrogate): - Open an elevated Command Prompt. - Enter the command: regsvr32 %windir%\system32\swprv.dll - Restart the Windows Backup Service after running this command. 6. Run System Maintenance Troubleshooter: - Go to Control Panel > Troubleshooting > View all > System Maintenance. Run the troubleshooter and follow the on-screen instructions. 7. Update Windows and Drivers: - Make sure your Windows operating system and device drivers are up to date. Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update to check for updates. 8. Check Disk Space: - Ensure that you have enough free space on the destination drive where you intend to back up your files. Try these steps and see if any of them help resolve the issue with setting up the backup. If the problem persists, provide more details about your system setup for further assistance.
