I've just got a new Toshiba Satellite L500 laptop with Windows 7 loaded and I can't access anything through Firefox. Have tried all the fixes on the Mozilla site. Explorer seems to work OK, but I also suspect some access to outside sites is blocked. Does anyone have any ideas please? First time user of this site, so not sure if I am using correctly

I know a new version has just been released perhaps if you tried that one you'll get more success?

Can be lots of causes:

1). Internet connection (may be not fully set or configured)
2). Internet provider (or network server) blocking or failing to access certain internet areas
3). Security software blocking sites
4). Some sites may be simply down
5). Virus or malware in your system

Try newer FF version, and try other browsers as well to see if the internet behavior is the same.
