So I built my first custom computer and installed 7, 64 Bit. I'm running a Radeon 5770 graphics card on am Alienware Monitor, downloaded the driver, set it to the recommended resolution (1920x1080) and the desktop is not fitting to the screen. I can set it to a few other resolutions to make it fit, but it doesn't look nearly as clear. I read a few of the stickies and couldn't find a solution.

Suggestions? Thanks, in advance.

Some monitors have options for adjusting the display size or aspect ratio that might help to fit the desktop correctly. 2. Graphics Card Settings: - Check your graphics card settings. You can often find options for scaling the display to fit the screen in the graphics card control panel. Adjusting these settings might help. 3. Overscan/Underscan Settings: - Sometimes, the issue might be related to overscan or underscan settings. Look for these settings in your graphics card control panel and adjust them accordingly. 4. Custom Resolution: - Try creating a custom resolution for your monitor. This can sometimes help with fitting the desktop correctly. You can do this through the graphics card control panel. 5. Update Graphics Drivers: - Ensure you have the latest drivers installed for your Radeon 5770 graphics card. Visit the AMD website to download and install the most recent drivers for your card. 6. Check Cable Connection: - Verify that the cable connecting your graphics card to the monitor is securely plugged in. A loose connection can sometimes cause display issues. 7. Monitor Firmware Update: - Check if there are any firmware updates available for your Alienware monitor. Updating the monitor firmware can sometimes help with compatibility and display issues. 8. Reset Monitor Settings: - If nothing else works, you can try resetting your monitor settings to default and then readjusting the resolution and display settings. Try these steps one by one and see if any of them help you resolve the issue with the desktop not fitting correctly on your screen. If the problem persists, feel free to provide more details for further assistance. Good luck!
