Hello.

It seems as if my command prompt will not let me do any simple system commands such as ping, ipconifg, etc. And it will also not let me use commands for my compiler. The paths are set properly in the environment variables, but it still does not work. See the screencap below:

I have no idea how this happened. The system has no viruses and is clean. Any help would be appreciated.

I am no expert on DOS commands, but it appears your path does not contain the basic System32 entry. Perhaps it is because of the problem, but can you run the commands using an Administrative command prompt or changing to the Windows\System32 directory to run the commands from there?

You might check your Environmental Variables on the advanced tab of the System Properties (sysdm.cpl) to see if the path actually contains Windows\System32 entry, without the additional backslash you show.
