Every time I play bejewels in facebook it freezes. When I try do some searches in google it says netdog has blocked that word. I had installed netdog but uninstalled it the same day since it don't block every porn website. Now I have K9 but my husband still get the block pages from netdog. PC itself has been freezing or slowing down I'm not sure whats causing it so I don't want to go deleting wrong files. I will appreciate your help. Solution
It seems like your system is facing several issues related to software installations and potential malware. NetDog and K9 are both content filtering programs, and it appears that remnants of NetDog might still be affecting the system even after its uninstallation. Here are some observations based on the information provided in the HiJack This log:

Identified Issues:

1. NetDog and K9 Conflict: NetDog remnants might still be present causing conflicts with K9. This conflict could be the reason why your husband is still getting block pages from NetDog.
2. Presence of Potentially Unwanted Programs (PUPs): The log indicates the presence of various toolbars (StartNow Toolbar, Searchqu Toolbar), which are often classified...

2. Presence of Potentially Unwanted Programs (PUPs): The log indicates the presence of various toolbars (StartNow Toolbar, Searchqu Toolbar), which are often classified as potentially unwanted programs due to their intrusive behavior.
3. Outdated or Unnecessary Software: Some programs like Ares, DivX, Adobe products, and others might be outdated or unnecessary, contributing to system slowdowns.
4. Browser Extensions: There are multiple browser helper objects and toolbar-related entries which can affect browser performance.
5. Missing Files and Services: Several services and files are missing, which might indicate software corruption or possible malware activity.

Recommendations:

6. Complete Removal of NetDog: Ensure that NetDog is completely uninstalled from the system to prevent any conflicts with K9.
7. Scan for Malware: Run a thorough antivirus scan using a reputable antivirus software to check for and remove any malware or potentially unwanted programs.
8. Browser Cleanup: Remove unnecessary browser extensions and toolbars to improve browser performance and security.
9. Software Update: Update or uninstall outdated software to reduce security vulnerabilities and improve system stability.
10. System Cleanup: Consider performing a system cleanup to remove temporary files, clear caches, and optimize system performance. Given the complexity of the issues, seeking professional help from a tech support specialist might be beneficial to ensure a thorough cleanup and optimization of your system.
