Hi
Do you get any kind of error message when it does it?
Has it done this right from the start?
The first thing I would try is to go to all the official sites and get drivers for everything that are the latest, Video, Sound, Mouse etc.
Next I would run CCleaner, and SuperAntiSpyware, then defrag the hard drive using Defraggler.

Download SuperAntiSpyware 4.49.1000 - FileHippo.com
If that doesn't do it then come back and let us know what's happening.

It might also be a video driver problem that causes this. I've had this problem a few times before where a video driver update did the trick however as Mike says if you get somekind of an error please post it here so we can have a closer look
