The .NET Core Team talks about the release of the CoreCLR codebase to GitHub. CoreCLR is the second open source repo that the team has shared on GitHub, the first one being CoreFX. CoreCLR is an execution engine for .NET apps, performing functions such as IL byte code loading, compilation to machine code and garbage collection.

The team talks about the codebase, the process of making it open source and about the overall move to open source. It's an exciting time in .NET and a great opportunity to hear how the team is thinking about these big and exciting changes.
