Update Mouse Drivers: - Make sure your mouse drivers are up to date. Visit the manufacturer's website to download and install the latest drivers. 4. Check Windows Mouse Settings: - Go to Control Panel > Mouse > Pointer Options tab. - Ensure that the pointer speed is set to the middle position on the slider for consistent movement. 5. Raw Input Option: - In-game settings in CS 1.6 may have an option for "Raw Input." Enable this option to bypass any Windows input settings. 6. Testing Mouse Movement: - Test your mouse movement across the mouse pad to see if the acceleration issue persists. If it does, try adjusting sensitivity settings. 7. Mouse DPI Setting: - Check the DPI settings of your mouse. Higher DPI settings can lead to faster cursor movements. 8. Check Mouse Pad Surface: - Sometimes, the surface of the mouse pad can cause inconsistent tracking. Try using a different pad or surface. By following these steps, you should be able to troubleshoot and potentially fix the mouse acceleration issue you are experiencing in Counter-Strike 1.6 on Windows 7. Remember to test each change to see if it improves the mouse movement to your liking.
