    i recently recieved a dell studio xps computer with windows 7 already installed, a few hours into the computers first use it crashed. then a couple of hours it crashed again!

    Each time took many attemps to get the pc up and running again, with safe mode not always working! somehow its up and running but i fear the fualt may happen again! can someone help?

    heres the version of events;
    i was installing programs and folders, when i click Itunes (installed from an OLD Cd, 2005 was when i recieved it)
    it installed succesfuly then when i click the icon, my pc crashed, then restarted, and would not fully restart, going to a window with start normaly or repair, each option would just loop the proces and i would return to the same screen after seeing a blue screen and restarting

    i managed to delete the files eventualy via safe mod deciding to work, here i do system restore, and all seemed fine.

    then on downloading itunes from its webiste, when the download finished my pc again crashed, and the same symptons apeard as before.

    never the less i still think its jsut a coincidence and itunes is not the root of problem.

    Using Bluescreenview i managed to get this system review, can someone please help me in locating the problem and hopefully solving it;

    please zip and upload the .dmp files so they can be run through windows debugger, also check through all the drivers shown in bluescreenview to identify and replace any that show a date stamp that suggest they may be older than the latter end of 2009 ?

    Do you have an antivirus? Viruses can infect any application, and iTunes seems to act as if it was infected.

    Hmm.... it could be entirely possible that you have some bad RAM even with the machine being new. Try checking the RAM one stick at a time (so you know which one is faulty, if any) using this app:

    Memtest86+ - Advanced Memory Diagnostic Tool
