Solution
It seems like you're experiencing high latency and freezing while playing Counter-Strike on Windows 7 Pro x64. The error message "cl_flushetinitypacket" is also appearing. Let's address some steps to troubleshoot and possibly resolve this issue:
  • Update Graphics Drivers:
  • Ensure that your graphics drivers are up to date. Outdated drivers can often cause performance issues in games.
  • Check Network Connection:
  • Even with a fast connection, there can be network issues causing high latency. Try connecting through a wired connection if you are using Wi-Fi.
  • Check Game Settings:
  • Make sure that the game is not using settings that might be too demanding for your system. Lowering graphics settings might help...

  • Check Game Settings:
  • Make sure that the game is not using settings that might be too demanding for your system. Lowering graphics settings might help improve performance.
  • Close Background Applications:
  • Close any unnecessary programs running in the background that might be consuming system resources.
  • Check for System Updates:
  • Ensure that Windows 7 is fully updated with the latest patches and updates.
  • Monitor System Performance:
  • Use tools like Task Manager to monitor system performance while playing the game to see if any specific resource is being maxed out.
  • Verify Game Files:
  • In Steam, you can verify the integrity of game files to ensure that there are no corrupted files causing issues.
  • Check Anti-Virus Software:
  • Sometimes, anti-virus software can cause conflicts with games. Try temporarily disabling your anti-virus when playing and see if it makes a difference.
  • Check Firewall Settings:
  • Ensure that your firewall is not blocking the game's connection to the servers, which could result in high latency and error messages.
  • Run the Game in Compatibility Mode:
  • Right-click on the game's shortcut, go to Properties, and then Compatibility tab. Try running the game in compatibility mode for an older version of Windows.
  • Upgrade System:
  • Consider upgrading your system as Windows 7 is no longer supported by Microsoft, and newer games and software may not work optimally on it. Try these steps and see if they help improve your gaming experience in Counter-Strike. Let me know if you need further assistance or if you have any other questions!
