Hi

I like the desktop toolbar but cannot move the icons around within the toolbar so that My Documents is in the list on the screen. Is there a way to do this or do I have to resort to 3rd party software.

thanks,Shumit

Hello Shumit, It sounds like you're looking to customize the desktop toolbar on Windows to rearrange the icons within it. Unfortunately, the built-in desktop toolbar in Windows does not allow users to manually reorder the icons within it. However, there are a few workarounds you can try to achieve this customization:

1. Use a Simple Trick to Arrange Icons:

  3. Lock the taskbar again to secure the changes.

    2. Customize the Folder the Toolbar Displays:

You can set a specific folder to display in the desktop toolbar. Here's how you can do it:
  4. Right-click on the taskbar.
  5. Go to Toolbars > New toolbar.
  6. Choose the folder you want to display as a toolbar (for example, your Documents folder).
  7. This will create a new toolbar on the taskbar with the contents of the selected folder.

    3. Use 3rd Party Tools:

If the above methods do not meet your requirements, you can consider using third-party software that provides more advanced customization options for the taskbar. Some popular third-party tools offer enhanced taskbar functionality, including the ability to reorder icons within toolbars. Remember to download software from reputable sources to ensure safety and compatibility with your system. Feel free to try the suggestions provided above to arrange the icons within the desktop toolbar to suit your preferences. Let me know if you need further assistance or have any other questions!
