Windows 7 Customize Folder Icons

Hi All,

I have bought myself a new lapto - Sony - with windows 7 64bit installed on it. My old systme also have windows 7 but only with 32bit. Here is my problem.

On the old system I could take the option Properties by rigth clicking on any folder and change the Icon from the windows selection. However on the new Sony it wont allow me to do that. It does not even bring up the option to chage the icon.

How can I solve this problem.

Thanks
Fred

Welcome to the forums Fred.

First of all, does the context menu appear when you right click ? Does the context menu appear when right-clicking on a folder ? Does the context menu have "Properties" ?

I right click on the folder and select properties - then a screen comes up with the following heading - General, Sharing, Security, Previous Versions.

There is nothing for Customize or Change Icons.
