Windows 7 Data recovery sotware

i need an efficient data recovery software for windows 7. earlier i worked out easus data recovery and icare data recovery but they didnt work. is there any suitable one and again i will appreciate if i get it free by a reliable mean.

I'm not sure how advanced you need the program to be but Piriform (makers of CCleaner and Defraggler) have a great product called Recuva which is 100% free. www.recuva.com

I once used Puran File Recovery, all the files were restored, although there were not that much files to be restored
