Windows 7 Dell Optiplex 755 Windows 7 Fix

I have a dell optiplex 755 usff with an intel core 2 duo and a copy of windows 7 ultimate and the disks for x32 and x64 bit. I can install the 32 bit version of windows but not the x64 bit version to take advantage of my intel core 2 duos x64 bit compatibility with windows. How can I make the system read the x64 disc to install the x64 bit of windows 7. PC specs in photos w/error message.

It sounds like your trying to do an 'upgrade installation' meaning your popping the disk or usb in and clicking install.

This won't work.

To properly upgrade to a 64bit system you need to perform whats called a custom or clean install. This means entering the bios and changing your boot order so that the media you have windows on is first in the boot queue.
