Windows 10 Discrepancy Between Installed Updates and Update History in Windows 10 TP

This scenario happens in other OSs as well, but my question is on Win 10 TP.

Why KB3016656 appears in Programs and Features > View installed updates, but not in Windows Update > View update history ?

I have Build 9879 Enterprise clean installed with ISO. No left-overs from previous builds.

Is it because those updates listed via Programs and Features can be uninstalled, and those listed via Windows Update cannot ?

The problem of my supposition is.....
KB3016725 are listed in BOTH applications, and it can be uninstalled under Programs & Features > View installed updates.

KB3016725 is also a kernel update. It does not appear to be part of regular Windows Update necessarily.

The updates that can be uninstalled, which you are talking about, would revert you back to a prior technical preview build. They are actually full operating system / kernel upgrades. So when you download the latest preview version, and install it, you are essentially upgrading to a new version/build of Windows. These are expressed as the uninstallable KB numbers you are seeing in Programs -> View Installed Updates. The updates in Windows Update seem to be more security related and cannot be uninstalled or they have been superseded by the latest November kernel update / preview build.

KB3016725 is a "package". The package includes ...656. Except for occasional "kinks" in the system. The History Dbase only shows the Package number. The "installed updates", shows the updates within that package as well.
