Experiencing the prompt to replace files twice during file transfer operations can be frustrating. This issue can occur due to different reasons, but it's often related to the system configurations or file properties. File Attributes: Files with the read-only attribute set can trigger the double confirmation prompt. Make sure the files you are transferring do not have the read-only attribute enabled. 3. File System Errors: Sometimes file system errors can cause this behavior. Running a disk check using Windows' built-in utility might help in fixing any potential file system issues. 4. Third-Party Software: If you have any third-party software installed that might be interfering with the file transfer process, try disabling or uninstalling them to see if the issue persists. 5. Corrupted User Profile: In some cases, a corrupted user profile can lead to such anomalies. Creating a new user account and testing the file transfer in that account can help identify if the issue is related to the user profile. 6. System File Checker: Using the System File Checker tool to scan and restore corrupt system files can also help in resolving underlying system issues. 7. Windows Updates: Ensure that your Windows operating system is up to date. Sometimes, issues like this are addressed in system updates. If none of these solutions seem to work, it might be beneficial to provide more information about your system configuration, such as the version of Windows you are using, any specific software you have installed that might be related to file management, and any recent changes made to your system that could have triggered this behavior. If you encounter any error messages or specific behaviors during the file transfer process, noting them down can also help in identifying the root cause of the issue. Feel free to try out these suggestions, and if you need further assistance, don't hesitate to provide additional details for a more targeted solution.
