I am using windows 10 as my main operating system but recently I needed to use a software which requires windows 7 due to some compatibility issues with windows 10. I do not want windows 7 as my main OS so I installed it on another partition and it dual boots fine but the problem is touchpad. It is not responding neither touch on the screen (laptop is touchscreen), cursor is frozen in the center of the screen.

I am trying to install touchpad driver ever since but as installation begins, Application security warning pops up and does not go away (okay, ignore, cancel etc. options) with keypad. And since touchpad not working so that warning is not disappearing allowing installation of the driver.

P.S. external mouse also not working

Can you get a USB mouse to work in safe mode? Sounds like there are other problems if an external mouse won't work.

Other options have you tried compatibility mode when running the application?
You could also run Windows 7 as a virtual machine.

What application doesn't work in Windows 10?
