Does anyone have stuff showing up in W7 that is random stuff from the "other" boot drive. To try and explain, let's say you have a plug in for an audio application installed on the XP partition, but for some reason the manuals from this plug in are also in windows 7 Now, not the plug in itself, just the manuals, OR maybe just an empty folder??

Any thoughts?

It sounds like you are experiencing a situation where files or folders from one partition or boot drive are appearing in another partition or boot drive on your Windows 7 system. This could be due to various reasons such as: 1. Incorrect Drive Letter Assignment: Windows assigns drive letters to different partitions or drives. Sometimes, if the drive letters get reassigned or changed, you might see files from one drive mistakenly show up in another. 2. Shared Folders: If you have shared folders across different drives or partitions, files or folders might appear to be present on multiple drives even though they physically reside on only one drive. To address this issue, you can try the following steps: - Check Drive Assignments: Make sure that the drive letters for your partitions are correctly assigned. You can do this by going to Disk Management in Windows to see the list of drives and their assigned letters. - Check Shared Folders: Disable any file sharing or network sharing features that might be causing files to appear in unintended locations. - Move Files Manually: If you find folders or files in the wrong place, you can manually move them to the correct location. - Scan for Malware: In rare cases, malware could be causing these strange occurrences. Perform a thorough scan of your system using an antivirus program. If the issue persists or if you need further assistance, feel free to provide more details so we can help you troubleshoot this issue more effectively.
