It seems like you are experiencing an issue with your HP Pavilion dv6735ee laptop running Windows 7 Professional not recognizing empty DVDs when using Roxio Creator 2010. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve this problem: 1. Check Device Manager: - Press Windows key + R, type "devmgmt.msc", and press Enter. - In Device Manager, look for the DVD/CD-ROM drives section. - See if the DVD drive is listed and if there are any exclamation marks or errors next to it. 2. Update DVD Drive Drivers: - Right-click on the DVD drive in Device Manager and select "Update driver." - Choose to search automatically for updated driver software. - If Windows doesn't find any drivers, you might need to visit HP's...

Update DVD Drive Drivers: - Right-click on the DVD drive in Device Manager and select "Update driver." - Choose to search automatically for updated driver software. - If Windows doesn't find any drivers, you might need to visit HP's support website to download and install the appropriate drivers for your DVD drive. 3. Firmware Update: - Sometimes a firmware update for the DVD drive can resolve compatibility issues. Check HP's support site for any firmware updates for your specific model. 4. Check Roxio Creator Settings: - Open Roxio Creator 2010 and check the settings related to the DVD drive. - Ensure that the correct drive is selected in the software, and that it is set up to recognize blank DVDs for burning. 5. Try Another DVD Burning Software: - If the issue persists, try using a different DVD burning software to see if the problem is specific to Roxio Creator 2010. 6. Compatibility Mode: - You can try running Roxio Creator 2010 in compatibility mode for Windows Vista. - Right-click on the program shortcut, go to Properties, navigate to the Compatibility tab, and check the box for running in compatibility mode. Choose Windows Vista from the list. 7. Hardware Issue: - If none of the above steps work, there might be a hardware issue with the DVD drive itself. In this case, you may need to replace the drive. Let me know if you encounter any difficulties while trying these steps or if you need further assistance!
