I am not a computer guru but do know I have a problem that I have never encountered before. My e mail works fine if I forward, reply or create in IE. If I should I go to a site and click on to a hot link a window pops up saying "I do not have an E mail program associated to perform that operation". I proceed to my default page and again choose IE for my default E mail program, try again same thing. I am running Windows 7 home premium on a new computer w/quad channel. I know I am missing something somewhere just can't figure it out. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks DonS

    ]Associate Email Links:
    • If your email program is not listed, you can choose "Associate a file type or protocol with a program."
    • Look for protocols like "mailto" and associate them with your email program.
  2. Testing:
    • After making these changes, try clicking on an email link on a website to see if it opens your email program correctly.

      Additional Steps:

    • Browser Settings:
    • Ensure that your IE settings are not blocking the email link from opening your default program.
  • Anti-Virus and Firewall:
    • Sometimes, security software can interfere with default program settings. Check your antivirus or firewall settings. If after following these steps the issue persists, you may need to check your browser settings or consider other default email programs. Let me know if you need further assistance!
