Hi all,

I have a computer in the loft of the companies canteen that I am running a presentation off of to the big screen tv.
But the problem is everytime I want to update it, I use LogMeIn Unattended Access which when I run the presentation and disconnect it it will come out of the presentation.
Editing it in the first place is okay as I have just set the presentation up as a share for me.

So the question is, how can I get this presentation to run from where I am as getting in the loft everytime I want to update it, frankly is a pain in the a**e!!!!!!!! lol

Many thanks,

To address the issue you are facing with updating the presentation on the computer in the loft remotely without interrupting the presentation itself, you have a couple of options to consider. Here are some solutions you can explore:

1. Remote Desktop Software

You can consider using remote desktop software that allows you to control the computer in the loft without disrupting the presentation. Unlike LogMeIn Unattended Access, your remote session should not affect the display on the big screen TV. Some popular remote desktop software options include:
  • TeamViewer
  • AnyDesk
  • Windows Remote Desktop

    2. Scheduled Updates

    2. Scheduled Updates

If your updates are periodic or can be scheduled in advance, you can set up a time for the updates when the presentation is not active. This way, you can access the computer in the loft, make the necessary changes, and schedule them to take effect after the current presentation ends.

    3. Automated Presentation Updates

Consider setting up your presentation software to automatically update the content from a predefined location (e.g., a shared network folder or cloud storage). This way, you can update the presentation remotely by placing the updated files in the designated location.

    4. Remote Access without Interrupting Display

Ensure that the remote desktop software you use is configured to allow you to access the computer in the loft without affecting the display settings. By default, many remote access tools should not interfere with the presentation running on the big screen TV.

    5. Testing

Before implementing any changes, make sure to test the solution to ensure that the remote access method you choose does not disrupt the presentation on the TV. By exploring these options, you should be able to update the presentation on the computer in the loft without the need to physically access the location every time. Let me know if you need further assistance or if you have any specific preferences regarding remote access software!
