Hey all. I just reinstalled windows 7(32bit) and my windows.old file, which doesn't contain anything in it except for empty folders, still has size to it. Does anyone know what the deal is with this? Never had this happen to me.

The show hidden files/folders option is ticked and still shows nothing. Is this a glitch?

Have you actually tried to open the folder? This folder contains the old OS (In your case the original Win 7 I would assume). It is designed to be able to open it like any other folder to allow you to grab data (Pics, Favs, Music, etc) and drag them to the new OS before deleting it. Use the approved method to delete it.

Yeah I have opened it . I just recently unticked the "hide protected operating system files" and was able to knock out 200mb. Still left with 3.2gb.

This baffles me.

You still have "Hide protected System Files" checked...
